One of the co-hosts of NBC’s show “Today” shocked the public with her statement given right after the terrorist attack in New York City, stating that “God is sovereign in all things.”
In an interview issued for CBN news, Kathie Lee Gifford called the terroristic attack as “antithesis of Jesus.”
“If I didn’t believe that God is sovereign in all things, I would have been in the looney bin years ago. His ways are not our ways, his thoughts are not our thoughts. We have to trust that he has it in control, even when everything seems out of control,” said Gifford, who by the way is a Christian.
NBC host was shocked and provided the best possible answer ever. How could a good and all loving God allow the evil even to exist.
He is a loving God. Terrorism did this, not God,” said Gifford, adding:
“People say to me all the time, ‘How could a loving God allow this to happen?’ And I always say, ‘Well, a loving God loved us enough to give us freedom of will.’”
But, she continued her explanation by stating that those who truly love and understand God will never do evil to any other human being.
“What you’re seeing is freedom of will,” Gifford said. “And some people choose to use their freedom to harm and to hurt, the exact opposite of Jesus.“
In this latest terrific terroristic attack eight people were killed in a bike path in New York City. The terrorist who committed this deadly sin is Sayfullo Saipov, 29 year old immigrant from Uzbekistan, who entered into USA in 2010, through diversity immigration program.
